Praying Over a Remote Control Plane

It didn’t surprise me when it got lost within minutes of the boys playing outside. The plane was small enough to fit in the palm of his hand and was powered by a remote control operated by a child who couldn’t even tie his own shoes. It was a mesmerizing, uncontrollable, magical loop-de-loop of a toy–now lost in the Bermuda Triangle of our yard.

Empty-handed, they valiantly searched and searched, high and low, as much as kids that age can muster. Their search party then recruited the big guns (Mom) and knowing the place it held in the heart of my boy, I began my diligent campaign to fill in the airplane-shaped hole that was left in it…
